And inside, I shall miss my ceilings. Here they are so I shan't forget them:
The Formal Lounge:
My Bedroom:
Entrance Hall:
Dining Room
(This is also where I sit and write. The dome in the centre is slightly recessed.)She is so beautiful. I shall miss her gorgeous hues which my cousin, with his artistic and steady hand, painstakingly highlighted for me.
But now, at least, I shall always have her here.
xx
I salute your cousin, as I know first-hand how difficult it is to do what he did.
ReplyDeleteFabulous plasterwork though. Feel better knowing some new people get to enjoy it and appreciate his work too.
You will be invigorated by change and new avenues for creativity. It is a good thing.
I have left a link to here at my pal Highriser's post on a very deco Essendon street.
ReplyDeleteAnn,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. Those were such gorgeous photographs.
Thank you for your kind words too. The new owners were so very excited to have her, and said they liked her style, so hopefully they will take good care of her.
You said you have painted ceilings too. Is it in your current house?
I am most impressed at your deco features. Are you in Melbourne? I am actually interested to know what suburb your house is in, but of course I don't expect you to say that here.
ReplyDeleteAndrew,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your post and add.
You know I cannot say where I am, because it is a secret. But Rumpelstiltskin let the queen guess, so I think it would only be fair.
But like that silly little man I shall give no clue to country or region.
Shall we say three guesses?
