Beauty Left Behind

It is difficult to relinquish that which one loves. To avoid the loss we hold on to the beauty. I shall miss my garden of crepe myrtles with their beautiful barks and crimson flowers, the roses which were fragrant and bright, my tiered front lawn and my fruit trees: apple, plum, lemon and olive.

And inside, I shall miss my ceilings. Here they are so I shan't forget them:

She is so beautiful. I shall miss her gorgeous hues which my cousin, with his artistic and steady hand, painstakingly highlighted for me.

But now, at least, I shall always have her here.

    I salute your cousin, as I know first-hand how difficult it is to do what he did.
    Fabulous plasterwork though. Feel better knowing some new people get to enjoy it and appreciate his work too.
    You will be invigorated by change and new avenues for creativity. It is a good thing.

    Thank you so much. Those were such gorgeous photographs.

    Thank you for your kind words too. The new owners were so very excited to have her, and said they liked her style, so hopefully they will take good care of her.

    You said you have painted ceilings too. Is it in your current house?

    You know I cannot say where I am, because it is a secret. But Rumpelstiltskin let the queen guess, so I think it would only be fair.

    But like that silly little man I shall give no clue to country or region.
